Don was born and raised in Miles, Texas. At the age of 19, he was employed by Bowman Lumber in San Angelo and later was transferred to Clyde to manage the yard there. After 17 years in the building material business, he started building homes in Abilene. While in the building business, he served as President of the Home Builders Association and was twice named Home Builder of the Year. In 1990, he moved to Lubbock, again to manage a store for Bowman Lumber. Now, after 15 years in Lubbock, Don and his wife Ann have decided to return to the area to be closer to their family. They have two sons, Jerry and Scott, along with four grandchildren who are active in all sports activities. Don is very excited to be associated with Creative Homes of Abilene and to be able to once again build homes in the Abilene area.
